Bronwyn Jones
Bronwyn is a graduate of the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy, London, where in 2000 she completed a Bachelor of Science honors degree in Osteopathic Medicine and Naturopathy.
Her training involved a four-year full-time course integrating knowledge of clinical medicine, anatomy, physiology, pathology, orthopedics, biomechanics, exercise physiology, pediatrics, applied clinical dietetics and pharmacology. Her skills and experience have been deepened by the study and practice of CranioSacral Therapy and is also an SE (Somatic Experiencing) practitioner.
Bronwyn has been in practice for over ten years and has held clinics in Harley St, Nottinghill and Hampstead, London. She now lives in Alresford, Hampshire with her family and practices in the local area.
Bronwyn is a registered Osteopath and Naturopath (N.D.) and is a member of the General Osteopathic Council, which ensures a strict code of ethics and professional indemnity insurance.
Early in her career Bronwyn noticed that, although she enjoyed her training and acknowledges that it gave her a solid foundation for practice, she felt a mechanical approach alone to osteopathic treatment wasn’t enough. Something was missing. She took her skills and experience as an Osteopath and deepened them with the CranioSacral Therapy model, the primary principal of which is to listen.
Bronwyn recognizes that each person has a different reaction to injury, trauma and stress and that we respond with a unique ability to accommodate our ailments, discomforts and life events. She saw that her patients made a better recovery when they played an active role in their treatment. By creating an opportunity for both patient and practitioner to actively listen, together they can understand how to support the innate, self-regulating ability of the body more efficiently.
Moving to Hampshire with her family, she established a private practice in Alresford, Hampshire. Bronwyn continues to treat newborn babies, toddlers, children and adults of all ages for a wide range of conditions. As a mother of a young child, she is particularly experienced in women’s health during and after pregnancy and finds osteopathy and craniosacral therapy to be especially helpful for newborn babies and children.
